Baby horses in pasture learning to be horses – No Imprinting – Rick Gore Horsemanship I show baby horses in pasture with moms and herds living in open areas being horses and learning from other horses. I discuss the benefits to keeping horses with horses and discuss the problems with imprinting and how it can hurt young horses. I point out a protective mom and her slight warnings to me to stay clear of her baby and her instincts to protect her baby and be a good mom. I show using pressure and release and creating a draw gets a baby to come over and sniff me.
