Dangerous Horse Training- Crossing a Risky Bridge- Putting a Horse in Danger- Rick Gore Horsemanship

www.thinklikeahorse.org – I show Mr. T crossing a narrow dangerous bridge and discuss the dangers in doing this. I try and point out the many distractions like the sun, other horses, draw from the barn and buddy all which cause my horse to not pay attention to what I am trying to teach him. This crossing could have turned out bad. Doing things with your horse and being able to identify dangers, concerns, hazards and possible issues will help you always look ahead and hopefully prevent you from getting you and your horse in trouble. This exercise would have been better if I was not holding a cam in one hand and distracted by video taping and talking and explaining what I was doing. When doing things like this your horse needs your 100 percent attention, I have many years with horses, with Mr. T and was able to get this done even with all the obstacles, but this was risky and not ideal, so think before you put your horse into a situation where you can’t stop or back out.
