The Express Eventing took place today at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium and saw Oliver Townend lift the first prize with his grey Flint Curtis – netting him the winners prize money of £100,000!

There was sadness at the event too, as Mary King lost Call Again Cavalier, who performed so well for her at this summer’s Olympics. The horse was put down following a fall at the wide narrow corner fence named “The Duck Houses”.
Only six competitors completed the full event.
