The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) is the world governing body of horse sport. It regulates and promotes three Olympic disciplines (Jumping, Dressage and Para-Equestrian Dressage and Eventing) and the non-Olympic disciplines of Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining.
There are 132 National Federations affiliated to the FEI and the sport has enjoyed a rapid expansion in recent years. In 2012, FEI events around the world totalled 3,379, compared to 295 in 1985.
This video is an edited version of a film screened in May 2011 at the inauguration of the new FEI Headquarters, the HM King Hussein I Building, in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The dates shown before each discipline indicate when they became ?FEI disciplines?.
